Deep Relaxation

The term for Deep Relaxation in Yoga is "Yoga Nidra", Yoga Sleep.
It is a 'conscious' sleep, not an unconscious sleep as in falling asleep.

A sample of this is included as preliminary within all sessions at Melbourne Yoga, and there are dedicated longer sessions in the weekly timetable to go much deeper.

It has to be felt and experienced to be believed.

Having a deep session at least once per week is fundamental to managing a stressful life.

Stretching & Flexibility

An applied and practical understanding of anatomical stretching and flexibility for the physical body is one of the aims required for physical body Yoga practice. A basic understanding and many practices are given in all Yoga sessions. But the Stretching and Flexibility class takes you deeper into the stretch and allows more time to assimilate the great benefits.

Sessions aim to give the rationale of stretching and flexibility, the more advanced techniques, and many practices over the whole of the body's anatomy.

Proper deep stretching is a beautiful way to relax physically, and brings perfect tone to the muscles of the body.
